At Total Focus Canine, we are dedicated to empowering you to train your dog to become a service dog with the guidance of our expert trainers. Through a structured program including weekly training sessions, we provide you with the knowledge and tools necessary to train your dog effectively.
It is essential to dedicate the required time and effort to practice the training techniques taught in each session diligently. Training your dog to be a service dog demands significant time, energy, and mental resilience. By following our tailored guidance and investing in the process, you pave the way for your canine to succeed in their vital role as a service dog, providing you with invaluable support and assistance.
Steps to Begin:
Not every dog is suited to become a service dog, as it requires a specific set of abilities and temperament. To determine if your dog is a good fit for our program, an evaluation is necessary either in person or online. After your dog's evaluation and application have been approved, we can begin training. It's crucial to ensure that your dog meets the necessary criteria to thrive as a service dog, and our structured evaluation process is designed to identify the potential and suitability of each candidate for our program.
It is not uncommon for a dog to not be capable of service work.
If you do not have a dog that would work, our team can assist in finding and temperament testing a puppy to kickstart the process.
We recommend to begin training early in the dog's age to maximize success. Whether the dog is young or older, it can take up to two years of comprehensive training to become a fully qualified service dog. Our professional team is dedicated to providing top-quality training and support throughout the process, ensuring that every service dog is well-prepared for their important role.
It is advised your dog completes at least one board and train program to allow our trainer hands-on, one-on-one training. This allows TFCA to ensure your dog is ready to succeed in public access but also allows us to train difficult tasks or modify certain unwanted behaviors.
Online Sessions:
Our Service Dog Online Training sessions offer a comprehensive and convenient way to train your service dog from anywhere in the world. Our expert trainer will guide you through a series of interactive lessons, covering essential skills such as obedience, task training, and public access training. These sessions are designed to be engaging and effective, providing you with the tools and knowledge needed to successfully train your service dog. Each session is done via Zoom or Facetime. They are approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour in length, depending on the threshold of the dog.
In Person Training Sessions:
In-person Training Sessions are designed to provide hands-on guidance and support for service dogs in a structured and controlled environment. These sessions focus on reinforcing obedience commands, socialization skills, and specialized tasks relevant to the service dog's role. Our trainer works closely with handlers to address specific needs and goals, ensuring that each dog is well-prepared to assist their partner effectively. Each session lasts about 45 minutes to 1 hour in length, depending on the threshold of the dog.
Our trainer will travel to you, depending on the distance. We service Cobb, Cherokee, Paulding, Forsyth, and Fulton County in Georgia. Please inquire to see if your location is within our distance of travel. If you exceed the distance but would like to have in-person training, you can travel directly to us. We are based in Marietta, Georgia. Please feel free to send us an inquiry if you have any questions.
Our Pricing

In-Person Single Lesson: $85 (Some sessions may last up to an hour. Please note- our in person session is priced accordingly, taking into account travel expenses. Amount may vary dependent on distance.)
Online Single Lesson: $75 per 45 minutes (some sessions may last up to an hour.)

Monthly Package - $280 (4 total lessons to be used once a week).
6 Month Package- $1,750 (24 total sessions to be taken once weekly. Client has the option to schedule more than one session per week if they decide).
The 6 month package also includes a FREE Total Focus Canine In Training Vest - This Vest can eventually be returned to TFCA in exchange for a Fully Trained Service Dog Vest, once the dog graduates.
Payment is due no later than the 5th of the month. Make-up sessions will be provided if the client provides notice of cancelation no later than 6 hours before the scheduled time.
