Board and Train for Your Service Dog Prospect

This Program for is Service Dog Prospects only in order to provide a detailed training period where the dog stays in our Lead Trainer’s household to learn vital tasks and receive proper socialization outings. During this time, your dog will receive individualized attention, detailed training sessions, and public access in order to prepare them for their important careers. Our trainer will work on specific behaviors needed for the dog to assist their handler effectively. This program is especially beneficial for busy individuals who may not have the time or expertise to train their prospect themselves while also allowing us time to solidify and or modify behaviors previously taught.

With only a maximum of 2 board and trains at any given time, we guarantee focused sessions for optimal training results. Your dog will enjoy 2-3 daily training sessions alongside structured play and receive different enrichment activities for mental stimulation. You will receive daily updates, photos, and videos to keep you connected while your pup is in our care.

Unlike traditional kennel settings, our unique approach involves integrating your dog into our daily routine, treating them as part of our own family. This tailored approach minimizes stress and fosters success for your dog's training journey.

Your Responsibility After Completion:

Upon successful completion of the board and train program, it is the responsibility of the handler to maintain and improve the skills and behaviors learned during this intensive period. During the pick-up session, our experienced trainer will work closely with you to provide essential guidance on effective communication techniques with your service dog.

For continued support and reinforcement, we offer an additional training session post-program, which can be conducted in person or virtually. We highly recommend enrolling in our weekly training sessions to ensure continual growth and learning for your service dog. Information regarding our weekly training rates is provided under the “Training Your Own Dog” tab.

Before departure, each service dog will be equipped with a comprehensive training log that outlines the lessons learned and additional tasks for practice at home. It is crucial for the handler to remain dedicated to consistent training in order to maximize the potential for success in the service dog's future role.

Please Note: While we will work diligently to apply the training needed, this course will NOT fully train your dog to become a service dog. It takes up to 24 months of consistent training for a dog to become a fully-task trained Service Dog. It is your responsibility to continue training, either with our aid, or on your own.
