TFCA Program Dogs

Fully Trained Service Dogs-

Our service dogs are specifically trained to aid individuals with disabilities, addressing a variety of issues from physical limitations to medical conditions. Providing reliable companionship, our service dogs can bring about positive changes in the lives of their handlers.

In order to optimize success rates, we specifically work with dog breeds that have a proven track record of excelling as service dogs.

Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers are two breeds that consistently demonstrate exceptional abilities in this role, and we focus on leveraging their strengths to ensure the greatest possible impact and success in our service dog programs.

Our utmost priority is to ensure our Service Dogs are placed medically clear. This is done through Genetic and OFA Testing.

We pride ourselves in finding dogs who are clear medically through lineage to optimize successful testing results. Our dogs will be fixed and have received all necessary vaccinations prior to final placement.

Application and Interview Process-

To begin the process of obtaining a program-trained service dog, an application is necessary. Once your application is accepted, a no-cost initial in-person or virtual interview will be arranged. During this interview, our trainer will assess your needs and discuss the next steps in the process. This is also an opportunity to address any queries or concerns, including payment plan options.

Tailored Training for You-

Once a handler is matched with their dog, we begin the individualized training process to ensure a perfect fit. We take into account the personality traits and current routines of both the handler and the dog to create a harmonious match. This personalized approach establishes a strong and long-lasting bond between the pair.
Updates and photos will be shared periodically during the training period to keep the handler informed and engaged in their dog's progress. We value transparency and communication throughout this journey, striving to make it enriching and fulfilling for both the handler and the dog.

Total Focus Canine Academy believes in providing personalized attention to each handler and their service dog. This is why we only place 2-3 program service dogs at a time, ensuring we can focus completely on meeting each individual's unique needs. By maintaining a small program, we can deliver a high level of customization and attention to detail throughout the training process.

Visiting Your Prospect-

Handlers are encouraged to visit their prospective service dog at any point during the placement process. These visits not only allow for bonding between the pair but also provide an opportunity for early training sessions to begin. Our experienced trainer will guide the handler on effective ways to work with their dog, setting the stage for a successful partnership.
During these visits, handlers can observe the dog's behavior and temperament in various settings, gaining valuable insight. This hands-on approach helps to enhance the bond between the handler and the dog, fostering a trusting and supportive relationship

After Placement-

Upon receiving a program trained service dog from us, you will receive lifetime support and training to ensure a thriving partnership. Our team is always available to assist with any concerns or challenges, offering guidance and resources as needed.
To ensure the well-being and future of the dog, we have a strict contract in place outlining guidelines for retirement, rehoming, or circumstances where the handler is unable to care for the dog. This ensures that the dog's future is safeguarded, even in unexpected situations.

Pricing

Each dog is priced differently and is solely dependent on the specific needs of the client. Our current range is from $25,000-$30,000. While we understand the range can be shocking for some, this is including the initial price of the prospect, vet care, food, countless hours of training, etc.

We offer payment plans throughout the training timeframe. It takes approximately 2 years to fully train and medically clear a service dog(depending on the dog, placement could occur earlier).

A 20% non-refundable deposit is due in order reserve your service dog prospect once you are paired .

We are happy to work with you on the payment arrangement, this will be discussed during the interview process.

If for any instance the dog you are matched with ends up not being able to work as a service dog, either due to the results of the medical testing results or other behavioral concerns, TFCA will find and train a replacement at no additional cost to the client.
